We love to paint!  We get many calls from people asking “how much does it cost to paint a bedroom?”.  There are many variables to consider when answering this question, but this article may help you budget for your next house painting project!

Here are the items you should consider:

How Tall Are The Ceilings

When I calculate the price for a room, square footage of the surface is calculated.  If it’s a 10 x 10 room with 8′ ceilings, that’s 320 square feet.  If you have 10′ ceilings that square footage jumps to 400 square feet.  Ceiling height is an important variable that impacts pricing.

Number Of Windows

One common misconception from consumers is if the room has many windows that cost to paint the room should be less (due to less paintable surface).  That assumption is not correct – here’s why.  Painting a wall with no windows takes much less time to paint vs a wall with 6 windows.  Each window has to be cut-in with a brush.

If you’re wanting to paint the baseboards, doors, and crown molding in a room, this adds scope to the project.  The number of doors can have an impact on the overall cost.

Walls:  $250-350
